Hi Everyone,
It’s my job every month to let you know about the happenings of the Bleep Groups around the world. I started this position in late November of 2005 and we had about 25 active groups around the world. In just 4 short months, the Bleep groups around the world have doubled and we now have over 50 groups - quite a growth spurt and yet small in comparison to the huge number of requests we get per day from you to join a study group.
So what does it take to start a group? What do the groups do? How often do they meet? I’m going to let one of our group leaders from Ohio answer those questions in a great letter she sent me recently. Lisa, is the coordinator of the Bleep Group in Cleveland, holds a regular 9-5 job and has a passion for “Quantum Spirituality,” and writes:
Our group, the Cleveland Bleepers, is about to celebrate its one year Anniversary. We currently have 11 members, and we meet weekly at a local coffee shop. We have been through the Noetic Sciences Study Guide one full time, and this past January we began using the book What the Bleep Do We Know!?™: Discovering the Endless Possibilities for Altering Your Everyday Reality by William Arntz, Betsy Chasse, Mark Vicente, and Jack Forem. We recently went back to the Study Guide because some of our members had only gotten through half of it last time around. It is a very useful tool, and the resources in each chapter help to understand the more difficult topics.
We also use other resources such as DVDs, books and audio recordings of Wayne Dyer, Ramtha, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Candace Pert … some of our group members are also exploring topics such as Kinesiology and Remote Viewing.
Our meetings last two hours every Wednesday evening and most members would meet two days a week, if we could coordinate our schedules.
On April 2nd we will begin sponsoring once-a-month all day workshops. The reasoning behind having these 4 to 6 hour workshops is primarily for those people who have contacted us through the What the Bleep site who live outside of the area, or who are not able to commit to weekly meetings. Many people who contact us have work schedules and personal commitments that keep them from coming out one night a week – several others live 90 minutes or more away from Cleveland proper and have been unable to find others in their areas to meet up with.
Our weekly group is comprised of a variety of individuals with very diverse backgrounds, upbringings, cultures and religious/spiritual affiliations, all of which meld together to create very intense, thought provoking conversations that leave us all thinking until the next time we meet.
