But I need that illusion to get out of bed in the morning. Of all the durable and necessary creations of atoms, the evolution of the illusion of the self and of free will are perhaps the most miraculous. That belief is necessary to my survival.
But I wouldn't call it good physics.

Here is Will’s response:
Dear Dennis:
I read with interest your article on What the BLEEP and muddled science. To move the discussion more towards science and away from speculation we included some experimental data about the mind/matter interface in the Down the Rabbit Hole Version. Those experiments being Dr. William Tiller's experiment on Intention Imprinting Electronic Devices, which change the Ph of water based on the intention of meditators, and Dr. Dean Radin's experiments on random number generators, and ability of humans to effect quantum randomness.
Both these classes of experiments have never been refuted, only ignored. They seem to demonstrate clearly that the mind, or conscious focus, or intention do seem to affect quantum and molecular events. Until they are refuted it seems that the burden of disproof is left in the court of those materialists that say all there is, is a physical world.
You state that "parapsychologists were booted from the American Association for the Advancement of Science 30 years ago." I would suggest that the name should be "Advancement of Materialistic Science," since anything outside of that realm is summarily eliminated. In the article Dr. Albert is quoted, yet no other interviewees were included - Dr. Tiller, Professor Emeritus from Stanford University, is referred to as "a character."
In my mind "bad science" is not speculations about reality, rather it is ignoring experimental data. It is an interesting statement about our culture, that the only way to get this information out into the public, was to make a movie.
I think everyone would like to know what the truth of the matter (no pun) is. Hopefully the interest generated by the BLEEP movies, and articles such as yours, will bring forward an unbiased inquiry into reality.
Yours truly,
William Arntz - producer/director What the BLEEP. Continued on page 5
