Undigested protein can also be interpreted as foreign invaders, thus activating the immune system with deposition of these “toxic” immuno-complexes in tissues. These proteins also tend to feed the “bad” bacteria in the gut, which produce flatulence. Lack of acidity in the colon (a downhill effect of low stomach acidity) also allows the growth of yeast-like Candida albicans.

The zinc problem is important, as zinc is needed to produce HCI, as well as maintain proper cranial bone motion and tooth ligament integrity. Certain cranial misalignment thus lends to poor acid production. You can see how the cycle continues in a downward spiral of increasing symptoms. An itchy anus, for example, is not always a problem with parasites. It can be a symptom of lack of proper acidity of the colon. In addition, poor acid production leads to a protein deficiency. Protein deficiency states in turn lead to a multitude of conditions and symptoms besides those mentioned above and include conditions ranging from arthritis to allergies, to autoimmune conditions to low immune functions.

Here’s a quick test for the condition of low acidity: if you suffer reflux/heartburn after eating, take three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a ¼ glass of water and drink it.

If your heartburn symptoms decrease or disappear there is a good chance you are experiencing insufficient acid production. If you don’t suffer “heartburn” but still have other symptoms, you would be wise to be evaluated by a physician who uses the tools of applied kinesiology. They would evaluate the stomach, its neurovascular/neurolymphatic reflexes, cervical and thoracic spinal alignment, emotional stress reflexes, cranial bone alignment, and nutritional status.

Acid base problems can be challenging to fix, but it’s well worth it. Remember to relax when you eat, and let your “juices” flow.

To your health,
