It’s interesting because one of the things that we did was, Mark and Will and I sat down and started talking about this movie we were going to create, and what we were interested in doing was sharing great knowledge and great tools to have in your life. And you can fit that into any parameter you want. For me, it’s really become just a way of living. It’s created a lot of clarity for me and understanding about why I do the things I do.
Paul - That’s true. We have a couple of people who are ardent Christians, and I am inspired by the fact that they can recognize that this film is not detracting from their faith at all. Much of what Jesus was doing in his life is clear evidence that he knew what we’re talking about. It’s just another way of looking at various religions and various ways of life. What you say is exactly right. The information accommodates every perspective you want to bring to it. It just helps you to better yourself.
Betsy - What I liked about your film, which is different from our film, is that you really talked about the law of attraction, and how it works in our lives. And for me it was really great because I was able to take a step back and examine it from that point of view and look at it in my life and look at what I’m attracting and be able to say, “Ok, I want to shift this.” It’s almost like doing laundry - by which I mean these tools become as simple as doing your laundry. Because you realize that you wake up in the morning and you can set your tone for the day. What is it you want to do? Just like you walk downstairs and do laundry and start cleaning house. You can catch the fact that you’ve lost focus and realize, “Hey, I need to refocus on what I want to accomplish.”
Just in the last three weeks watching your film I’ve made some incredible strides. One of the things I really liked that your movie brought forward … I can’t remember who it was that introduced it, but it was the idea about creating vision boards.
Paul - Yes, that was John Assaraf.
Betsy - I watched it with a friend called Gabby who worked on our film. And we were originally going to hang out together after we watched The Secret. Literally, after we watched the film we couldn’t wait to get away from each other so we could go make our vision boards. I still have mine sitting up in front of my desk with all of the things that I desire to manifest. It’s just so simple to look at it for a moment every once in awhile, and refocus the lens of my mind.
Paul - I did that when we were making the movie. I built a screen saver on my computer with images of things that I want to bring into my life. Right now I’m looking at a picture of a garden, because I want to turn the garden in my yard from the mess that is into a really well sculpted garden. And now … I’m looking at a picture of sea kayaking, which I actually got to do when we were producing the picture.
We were up in Alaska during production on an interview, and suddenly there I was, out on a sea kayak underneath one of the glaciers. Next > 1 2 3 4 5 6
