That became part of the ritual as well. Each week we light that candle for someone one of knows is in need of Spiritual support. One night it was for a group member who was having surgery, another for the daughter of a group member who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, one night for a member who's husband had passed away suddenly, etc.  First we noticed that the candle, that we had begun to call our "angel candle", was burning down faster then the rest of the candles. Then, we were all just amazed as it began to form what looked like wings. And around the candle on the table, the melted wax formed into what looked like delicate lace. Each week we would light that candle for someone, and each week, it became more and more beautiful. By the end of the meeting on the last night of that 12 week session, that candle had burned completely down, the 'wings' fell off, the "lace" puddled up into just a pile of melted wax, and the candle expired.  We then took a break for a few weeks.  Just before we were to start up again, I was cleaning out some cupboards and I came across a crystal angel candle holder that I had inherited on my sister's death.  We now use that for our angel candle, and so far, nothing out of the ordinary has happened with it. But, we all know something magical, mystical or metaphysical has happened in that room and the energy of that event has remained as each week we can feel it as we gather together.

Sincerely,
