Changing stations
Dear editor:
I liked your response to the Q&Q question about our responsibility for our reality: Our thoughts and emotions feed the “reality” that operates at the frequency matching where our thoughts and emotions are coming from.
It made me think of a radio with all the different channels. If you're on Hard Rock you get Hard Rock, if you're on Classics you get Mozart. The great thing is you're never stuck on a channel unless you actually like it, or are so convinced that Hard Rock is all that's available that you don't think to try. But you can change and when you tune off from Hard Rock and on to Mozart, you start to get Mozart. So, you can change what you get, or you can change your "karma" as they say in the East (I've also heard it called the Law of Cause and Effect) if you make the effort to change your frequency.
This thought made me realize why people seem to attract the same type of partners (whether good or bad); and how we can tune into better life experiences if we change our way of thinking. Hmm. Now 'there's the rub' to quote the Bard. Just some thoughts provoked by your column.

To creating peace and prosperity
To the editor:
There's much to be glad about regarding 'What the Bleep' - for me, the best result has been the sense that, hey, "you create your own reality" is FINALLY returning to the mainstream of thought.
Thirty years ago I discovered that principle (you create your own reality) in the writings of Jane Roberts and since then, off and on, I've learned little by little to better incorporate the concept into my life. I didn't need others to reinforce it, but I have so wished to share it and live it with other people - however, most people don't dare take that kind of responsibility and/or go against the basic culture's point of view. THEN CAME WHAT THE BLEEP!
I'm not at all surprised at the numbers of people who respond to the film's content - but I am surprised - and delighted - with the credibility the film has given to some ideas that are usually thought "weird".
THANKS! Recently I went ahead with something that I've not ever done, but wanted to do. I hadn't done it because I thought the idea of the "power of thought" was just way too underappreciated. I'm doing it now thanks to WHAT THE BLEEP showing me that there are many people right now ready to better use the power of thought.
I've built a little website from scratch that invites people to "think the same thought at the same time each day". The thought is "Each of Us is Blessed with Peace, Health, Love and Prosperity." The site has a world time zone map so that everyone, no matter where they live, is thinking the thought at the same time each day as everyone else. Maybe only a dozen people will sign up. Maybe my goal of 100 a month will be met. Who knows. But time will tell. In any case, I'd not have made the attempt if the success of WHAT THE BLEEP hadn't expanded my hope.
I don't know if it's okay to put a URL in a letter to the editor - but just in case - the site is BetterWorld4All.com (I just finished it. Invites to family and friends start going out on September 1st. Hopefully they'll forward the link.)
THANKS!!!
Sincerely,

Being the change
To the editor:
This is the first issue of the magazine that I have received. Thank you. I bought the film for myself for my birthday on July 31 and it was wonderful.

I grew up in Unity so much of the thoughts are familiar from a spiritual perspective, and I really enjoyed the fact that after 100 years of “new thought religions,” science is catching up. After I saw the movie for my birthday, I decided to make a commitment for the month of August to treat everyone I meet as a friend regardless of how I look at them, what they do, etc…. I don’t have anything to report as to some big break through – I really have no idea what is or isn’t being changed in the world except I am happy and feel good. I am writing because I found the synchronicity of my decision and the “From the Filmmakers,” (“Be the change you want to see in the world.”) article interesting. If I want the world to be a nicer place, then I have to be nicer. My world has become a nicer place since I made my decision; I hope that I am making the world a nicer place for others.
I will say some of the reactions have been amusing. I came back into the USA through customs in Los Angeles yesterday. The immigration officer who checked my documents was “dour” and I got up to his desk in a pleasant and happy frame of mind. I thanked him for his hard work and wished him a pleasant evening. Friends came through behind me and when they caught up to me at the luggage carousel asked me what I had said to the officer. I told them and they laughed because apparently, my pleasantries, and truly that is all they were, flabbergasted the gentleman and he had trouble going back to his job. How sad is that? To be surprised that someone treated you nicely? I am visualizing him as happy and treated well today.
I highly recommend treating others with kindness, courtesy and friendliness. The life you save just may be your own. Say hello to the homeless person you see every morning, put money into someone’s expired meter, help someone else. I cannot think of anything that feels better than seeing the world as a place of endless possibilities for kindness and compassion.
Blessed be,
Maria Seager, South Pasadena, Calif.
Blessings and good eats
To Dr. Gordie:
I am surprised and thankful for the article written by Dr. Gordie on "What to Eat?” When I started to read the article I was unconsciously prepared to hear about all of the pesticides, antibiotics, radiation, etc. that are being used & the importance of searching for and only eating "living food". Now, don't get me wrong, I think these warnings & recommendations are valid and helpful. BUT, what I needed and really appreciated hearing was how I could greatly improve my current nutritional status by changing my thought process and intent. Now, I have heard that it’s not a good idea to eat while watching TV, reading a good book, fighting with your boss or life partner! I just didn’t know why! Dr. Gordie's explanation of the sympathetic & parasympathetic nervous system made sense! Tonight, while offering thanks & blessing to my dinner, I will also offer thanks & blessings to What the Bleep staff, Bleeping Herald Staff, and Dr. Gordie.
Sincerely,

THANKS FOR THE BLEEPING PEEPS INTO YOUR LIVES!
THESE ARE YOUR STORIES!
Two months ago we asked for stories of your experiences with the concepts of the film. Did you ever come through! I have so enjoyed your experiences and would like to share them with the rest of the BLEEP community. Thank you all so very much for sharing and grabbing onto the dream and riding the tiger of the unseen. We didn’t know where this journey was going to take us, and now here we are, creating community and uniting through story telling. Enjoy your own reflections.
Best,
Gabrielle
