Dear Betsy,
I feel very grateful to you and the other people who made the movie possible because it was a very strong reminder that we are spiritually under anesthesia in our lives.
Sometimes it is so hard to live according to the things we know and are even convinced about.
Even though I'm not a physicist, I've read some papers by David Bohm, Fritjof Kapra and others, and I feel so dumb at the thought that Quantum Physics has been around for so many years and most of us continue living our Newtonian lives without associating what the scientists are telling us with our lives. Especially in my case, because I've also read quite a few books on oriental philosophy and spirituality for a many years and practiced different kinds of meditation.
I am from Montevideo, Uruguay, south of South America, so living so far from you makes it difficult for me to find materials connected with the ideas of the "Bleep." I don't even know if the movie will ever be shown here (I saw it with some Mexicans who were visiting our country and they had the DVD). Even without Katrina, the economic situation here is very hard, but that should be no excuse to stop us from a paradigm shift.
But I would really like to change my life according to the real Reality and learn how to convert all those possibilities and tendencies scientists tell us about in actualities chosen by my consciousness (as Amit Goswami says), for my own good and that of those around me, but I'm too often lost and overwhelmed at the project.
Thank you again for the gift your movie has been to my life, and also for The Bleeping Herald and the Study Guide with IONS. I really hope I can do my part.

To the Editor:
I am the “underprivileged” and have known no other life. I have spent the majority of my life fighting hypocrites of various order and struggled to maintain a better life.
… I was excited to hear about something that sounded much like my own belief system (Bleep?!), then articles like this (From the Filmmakers about Katrina) come along and I am stunned. The answer or solution for the moment is quite simple... if all these theories cannot be fully explained because it is beyond our reach in the physical state we are presently in, then perhaps, there is a side to 'making your own day' that is unexplainable, as well.
Since none of you understand the world in which the 'underprivileged' come from, then who are you to make comments about what they actually want for their lives? Are you actually assuming that all those people who struggle to make their lives better, are indeed wishing for the worst? Are you assuming that only the privileged have thoughts of pleasantry and wanting to be more, do more, give more, etc? Politics are in play here, no more, no less.
In your enlightened minds, all that could come to mind to explain this hardship was that those people wanted bad things to happen to them.

What then makes this organization any different from any other established organizations that use underprivileged people as examples of self hatred and ignorance?
I consider myself an enlightened mind, and I am ashamed for you. Just my two cents from one of the people 'down here' in the underprivileged world. Further, since you believe yourselves to be enlightened, then I could safely assume that my words have no bearing on any of you?

Sorry you took Betsy's commentary on Katrina as a slap at the "underprivileged." Actually the only mention of the "underpriveleged" in her article was a quote from Barbara Bush. Betsy tried to make it clear that she thought Mrs. Bush was speaking from an elitist and clearly separatist point of view that most, including those of us here at The Bleep, find unconscionable.

To the Editor,
I just wanted to mention that … (in Issue #6) paragraph six, the third sentence states that a skydiver plunges toward earth at a rate of 32 miles per second, per second (32 miles/second squared). The actual rate of gravity on earth is 32 FEET per second, per second (32 feet/second squared). I hope this is helpful.

Ouch! We knew that. At deadline we sometimes feel we are falling into a black hole at 32 miles/second/second, but for sure, that would be one hell of a rapid plunge for a skydiver! Thanks for the correction.

In the Guest Book
Dear Betsy and others,
I am compelled to share my excitment for those who are currently in a state of homelessness and shock from the overwhelming force of Katrina!
Having been homeless, struggling through what was a very challenging and painful time in my life when everything I had known had been turned upside-down, I can appreciate now, from a decade later, how profoundly my life was changed. The spiritual and emotional evolution has taken me until recently to really begin to integrate.
I have been focusing intently on it for the past two years as the fear I had been carrying around for ten years finally began to manifest in an autoimmune disorder. But I can now realize how much of my prior programming I have been dramatically able to alter as a direct result of being taken out of what was my "normal" reality and being forced to recreate a new reality to replace it.
I can now see how much stronger I have become and how the powerful momentum derived from this process is ultimately what has led me to the study of Shamanism and Chinese Medicine, both of which have been guiding forces through my healing process.
